Digital documents - this info same as Type1 docs related to exported vehicles without mark on system, but actual V5C logbook is lost, not saved. You will receive all information required to complete V62 form for lost V5C document. Full VIN check data sheet will be provided with MOT history, approx mileage, number of previous keepers and so on. After form is completed with a vehicle and owner details, you need to send it to DVLA - all info and addresses provided in v62 form. New documents should arrive not longer then in 6 weeks. Usually you will get it in 4 weeks period. For peace of mind, not like for Type1 documents, do not use your real name and address. When you receive actual documents, you can change a new keeper even on your name or address.

*What is V62 form?
A V62 form is an official DVLA document that is used to make an application for a replacement V5C registration document if you have not been given one when purchasing a new vehicle, or if a V5C has not arrived from DVLA within 6 weeks of registering the vehicle. You can also use the V62 form to tax the vehicle at the same time as applying. The application form can be collected from a main post office or you can download it online and print it.

Refund?

Yes! Always is small chance you will not receive new V5C documents after completing V62 form. In that case you will get full refund or replacement - same or similar value, model ,make vehicle details. 
Many free online service available like TotalCarCheck to check last date V5C was issued for new keeper. It means - if new date will appear after V62 was posted, you will receive your documents 100%. Otherwise if date did not changed - refund or replacement will be given. 

Important!
make sure you use tracked post like Royal Mail 1st. Class Signed For service to prove that v62 was posted and keep your recipe or photo of it, for date confirmation when v62 was posted. If for some reason documents will not arrive, without proof of posted V6 form, refund will not be issued.
